LoC in Poonch faces India Pakistan firepower: Three injured evacuated, others stuck | KNO

Jammu, April 01 (KNO) : The exchange of firepower between the Indian and Pakistan armies has injured three in Poonch district, while some of them are stuck in the area witnessing intense mortar shelling. Reports reaching KNO said that injuries occurred in Mankote, Balnoi and other LoC villages of Krishna Ghati sector of Mendhar sub division of Poonch district. Officials told KNO that cross border firing was going on intermittently in KG sector but got paced up in evening hours and entire LoC area is rattled as both side pound each other with explosives. They said that so far three civilians have been shifted to Mendhar hospital and are under treatment while some more injured are still stuck in shelling affected area and attempts are on to evacuate them.(KNO)
